I posted a similar list over a year ago. Its changed quite a bit, so I decided to update it tonight adding all of the wonderful movies I've seen since the first list, and switching around my feelings about movies I had already seen at the making of the first list. I post this more for my own benefit, 'cause I like having this list out there. But it'd be cool if someone else took the time to make out a similar list of their own. Maybe just Top 20 if you're not feeling too gumptious. Cheers.

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

You know that's a damn fine comment, FC. I've seen that movie, and I really liked it. Top 100 liked it? Eehh...there are a lot of movies on that list I liked more than FLLV, that said, I'm putting it on my Honorable Mention list right now, and next time I make an update like this, it might fit its way onto the list.
I really should see it again though, 'cause I don't remember a ton about it. Just that I felt like I was on drugs when I watched it, even though I don't do drugs. -Ugly Bastard |

Err...no it's just totally random, which is why a movie that you like a lot is losing to a movie you don't like as much. Just a random glitch in the matrix. -Ugly Bastard | |

Man...maybe I have a different view on the world than everyone else. But everytime someone makes one of those "why is X movie ahead of Y movie...are you crazy?!? lol" posts, they're really showing their lack of ability to understand that two people can view the same thing and have a different opinion on it.
I'd love for any of you to make a similar list, because I would enjoy telling you whats wrong with it. Oh wait, nm, I wouldn't do that, because I realize that your favorite movies would be different than my favorite movies. Instead what I would do, would be to enjoy reading someone else's list, and get a glimpse into how they view the world by reading their list. Then I would thank them for making such a list. Errr... ya forget all that shit DJ, I need to go switch those two movies around immediately...shit...what was I thinking?!?!??!?! lol roflmao ttyl brb BIOTCH! (I'm glad you weren't being seroius in that post. I'd be disappointed to find out you're that stupid). -Ugly Bastard [ January 29, 2005, 03:02 AM: Message edited by: Ugly Bastard ] |

There is. One time when I was playing poker, I took all this guy's money, then googled him a link on how to tie a noose, and told him I thought it might come in handy for him. It was some of the best needling I've ever done.

Ninja, thanks for the reply.
Cidade de Zues is a Brazilian film, better known as "City of God" in America if that helps. Same with Vita è Bella, La; an very good Italian film about an Italian Jew in WW2, better known in America as "Life Is Beautiful". I don't know you super-well or anything, but I would wager to say that you would like the movies A Clockwork Orange and One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest quite a great deal. Check em out sometime if you remember to. Might even be able to d/l them. -Ugly Bastard |

Next time I'm in blockbuster, I shall consider a few of those. Up until I read this revised list, I considered myself somewhat of a movie buff. I'm sure there are movies that I've seen that you haven't but I'm thinking you have plenty more under your belt than I do. Like the other kiss-ass posts on here, I will say it's a good list. But I will go a level or 2 above that to say that your list has substance. It's not full of movies made in the last 2,3,4, or even 5 years. Not only that, but its not limited to any specific genre. So nicely done.

Word. Thanks dawg. If I am more of a movie buff than you are, it's only because I worked at a Blockbuster for 13 months and got 5 free rentals per week and had no life. (note: not that I have one now)
