Thekremlin and DJFC's Work music thread
We just got bigass speakers for our desk, which you would think is an awesome thing, and it is. But now we have this massive responsibility to always play awesome music and entertain the rest of the office. It's very stressful. We're not very concerned about when the porteuguese guy bitches when we play anything that isn't playing on the radio. That's OK. But we do feel pressure because there are some people who are appreciative when we play good music, and dissapointed when we play lame music. As in, dissapointed in us, personally, as if we let them down. This morning was country music thursday, but since this is England, we didn't want to overload anyone so it was mostly Johnny Cash. Next thursday we will ease them in with some Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney, I love that shit. Tomorrow, though, we want to be Guitar Solo Friday, so if possible, Nubblites, I need about 11 hours worth of face-melting guitar tracks. By tomorrow pls.

The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them. |

Today we made it from 500 to 400 on the Rolling Stone list of greatest songs.

Seems like harder IMO, even with the ridiculous amount of money you're making. Couldn't you work like half the hours and still make a shitload of money? Or is the endgame of early retirement that appealing?

That makes sense. If nothing else glad to hear things are looking up.
On point: How far is the range of the speakers? Are you guys worrying about upsetting fellow office workers if your music does not scratch their fancy? Is there a possibility of a speaker war? |

If there was a speaker war we would win it. Easily. Unless they did some guerrila shit like hiding tiny speakers everywhere to turn it into a long, drawn out conflict. But we have the firepower.

this is all new to me, only having worked in traditional office jobs. management doesn't have a problem with it? phonecall (if any?) interference? if the movies have told me anything, it's that you guys should constantly be shouting 'BUY BUY!! SELL SELL!" into your cellphones or something.
