I heard that Gatorade is only really needed when you're really, really over exherting yourself. Drinking it when you don't really needed actually makes it unhealthy. It is high in sodium and sugars, which pack on the flab. Cut sports drinks out of your daily diet along with soft drinks, and supplement them with lots of beer.

that's what I hear too Anky. The nutrients in it help rehydrate faster, and it does have a significant amount of sugar that keeps you coming back.

I think I heard somewhere that those sports drinks are really bad for your teeth. If you drink it too often it will start to eat the enamel off of your teeth. Probably because of the sugar content.
Has anyone else heard anything like this or was someone just feeding me a line of BS? |

It seems like there's basically nothing that's healthy enough to sustain us in the long run if we only drink that one substance.
Or, maybe it's just consumer targeting by health officials backed by major sports drink/water conglomerates just trying to get the consumer to give one or the other up. I for one have just stopped drinking altogether. It's worked for the past 15 minutes.....I'll keep you posted. |
