Quick Update on Shit - Nubblies.net Forums

Alright, as most of you worthless fucks know, Nubblies has been down a lot more than it has been up lately. Not really sure why that is...Active probably explained it to me, but I don't remember right now. Either way, with it down so much this past week, a board that was dying has turned into a board that's pretty fucking dead. I'm not saying that is no activity (because that clearly isn't the case), but...let's put it this way: If Nubblies was an infant the day it was made, a toddler when it first started growing, and something around a well-off middle-aged man around the time that the JJ people arrived...right now it's sitting in a nursing home waiting for the cancer to finish its job.

What does this mean? Not a lot...since, as we already established, it's clearly on its way out. But, to kinda stop beating around the bush, the Nubblies domain name runs out in 15 days on April 16. Also, on this date, I'll owe Active another $15 for a another month's hosting. That would bring my combined bill to around $30...which is kinda a lot of money for me right now...so...I'm just going to let shit unfold.

Some of you may be thinking, "Fuck, $30? That's not a lot of cash. Just pay it." Or maybe even, "Christ, I'll donate it if you want." To the former, I agree that, in general, it's a small amount; however, right now I have almost a negative number of dollars in my bank account. To the latter, thank you for your generosity; however, I wouldn't want to accept any more donation dollars than I already have to put toward a site that seems to be down more than it is up. I mean...honestly, I can't feel good about that and that's kinda what Nubblies has always been for me, something that I can look at, know that I'm completely responsible, and feel "good' about it. That may sound kinda gay, but it's the truth.

To make a long story medium-lengthed, April 16th is probably going to be the last day that Nubblies is alive. Feel free to try to talk me out of it if you must...but I've definitely given this a lot of though, probably much more than you think.

Feel free to use this thread as pleas to stay, talks about good memories, or even discussion about possible other forums which we could migrate to. Please do not use this thread to talk about anything regarding April 1, 2006...because this certainly has nothing at all to do with that date (10).

Thanks. Even had Nubblies been up enough for that to be read, it still would have paled in comparison to last year. In fact, any april fools prank henceforth will. That's okay, though.

Nubblies migrating to another forum would actually be pretty funny, bombarding some poor unsuspecting forum with our degenerate members. It sounds good, but I honestly don't see that happening.

I can't say that I'm happy about this, but I also can't say that I didn't see this coming. But anyhow, I was thinking about forums in general and how most forums are made for the sake of a group or club of some kind. Nubblies was made so some highschool friends could bullshit backand forth and when you think about it, that really hasn't changed. All that has changed is that we aren't in highschool anymore and we have more people in places other than Warsaw to bullshit with.

If my tenure as a member of Nubblies was a waste of time, then it was the best waste of time.

I hate you with a passion. Also, I'm not sure Blonde picked up that this was a joke 'cause he frantically IM'd me asking me if we were going to let Nubblies die. At the time I hadn't seen the thread, so I just gave him my standard "not my problem" reply, which ended up being perfect given the fact that he thought this was the real-deal. Hehehehehe.

(Side note: Whoever's fault it is that Nubblies has been down so much lately - I hate you................and to clarify, I'm not instantly assuming it's AcTivE's fault, but he certainly seems like a good candidate. Moral of the story: Someone's shit is fucked, and I, for one, would like it to get unfucked).
