The justices voted 2-1 in favor of the Safford School District on Sept. 21. The decision upheld a federal district court's summary judgement that Safford Middle School Vice Principal Kerry Wilson, school nurse Peggy Schwallier and administrative assistant Helen Romero did not violate the girl's Fourth Amendment rights on Oct. 8, 2003, when they subjected her to a strip search in an effort to find Ibuprofen, an anti-inflammatory drug sold over the counter and in prescription strengths.
Source Go war-on-drugs, go! (Do you guys ever think about how often stuff like this happens only to go kept silent by the child, etc - you have to figure that for every time this gets taken into the court system, there's 5 other similar fucked-up situations where the kid is just kinda confused, scared, and keeping quiet). |

i don't get it, if you privatized schooling wouldn't that just make "private" school the new "public" school and then some new method of schooling would take privates' former elite place?

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

Private schools don't have to follow governmental bull shit. Also, if parents could choose which schools their kids went to, it would weed out the bad ones AND the bad teachers, which also improves education. Ever wonder why private schools destroy public schools in not only test scores, but producing great minds as well?

How about I present it to you this way... Give me one reason why the federal government and a committee of feds (who've had no classroom experience) should be setting and mandating guidelines on what happens in the classroom.
