Q: How did you get so cool? A: The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind. |

I'm liking the Nubblies AMA's.
DJFC, why do you seem so much different online than you are (or used to be, as I haven't seen you in probably 4 years now) in person? In hindsight, I feel like you "dumbed yourself" down a lot in social settings to get along with other people; it seems as if you were sitting on a wealth of knowledge. |

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

No I do not hate Indiana. In the same way that you don't hate a retarded child. I don't hate Indiana but there are very few, if any, things which would make me return. It's a twice-a-year holiday visit until I get my parents to move somewhere warm.

At IU I majored in Finance, Business Economics, and Public Policy. I got a minor in Philosophy. I joined this group: The Investment Banking Network at Indiana University: IBS Index which was freakishly good at getting students jobs on Wall St. I was gung-ho for investment banking before I realized that trading is:
1) More fun 2) More money 3) More awesome 4) Less cock sucking It's just a lot riskier. So I used the investment banking group as a stepping stone to talk to trading firms in Chicago. And one of the premier firms in Chicago decided to take a risk on me because I had something in common with every person I interviewed with: Interview 1) IU guy who belonged to the investment banking seminar Interview 2) Bond Trader who thought about the markets in a similar way in which I do Interview 3) Roommate of my cousin at IU and best man at his wedding Interview 4) Hardcore free marketeer who felt the same way I did about free-trade. He was the head of a desk and I flat out told him "I want a job here" so he gave me one. Interview 5) Republican guy who really liked that I had the balls to put "College Republicans" on my resume. We chatted about the election. So I was hired. And the rest is a story of hard work and sacrifice. |

Dual takes a long, long time and can have implications. I don't know that I'll live in England long enough for this. But if somebody in the EU offered me citizenship right now I'd probably take it.

What's the least amount of money you would accept in exchange for never being able to work for someone again? (You can work for yourself, but no more receiving outside money for work)
How much money would you need to spend 360 days per year for the next ten years in Indiana? |
