The way it's judged. After Roy Jones got clearly, and I mean clearly, robbed in the gold medal fight in Korea, they went to a system more or less like fencing, where the judges hit a button to register a punch, and a certain % of them have to register it in a certain period of time for it to count.

At the end of the fight the total # of punches landed determines the winner, which significantly changes the way the fight is fought compared to pro fights.

In a way it promotes solid fundamental techniques like distancing and clean jabbing, but it usually fails to reward body punches and makes no room in the scoring for things like power. Even knockdowns aren't awarded in any meaningful way, other than 3 in a round ends a fight.

I haven't watched Olympic boxing for awhile, but I have heard the same complaints that Beebs is bringing to the table. I hate soccer with a passion, but I think going to a soccer match at a world venue could change my perspective.

The soccer should be pretty entertaining if Brazil are able to get all their under 21s to show up.

Neymar, Ganso, and Lucas (not the one at Liverpool) for Brazil
Iturbe for Argentina would have been great to see but they didn't qualify.

Especially Neymar and Iturbe; both are going to be superstars.

The English frequent ale shops and public houses where hand pumped cask ales may be served at room temperatures. It is a fine and noble institution.

There is a more pedestrian option, however. Commoners may prefer an artificially refrigerated, carbonated, and pressurized golden European style lager beer. A typical example being "Stella Artois," which the working class colourfully refers to as "The Wife Beater."

I'll knock back some euro lagers. I really do like some good British ale as well. I used to drink the theakston old peculiar and the youngs SLA export all the time. can't find it any longer. There's plenty of nice brew in your part of the world.
