I remember a day when tricky "holy fuck, this guy may be for real" magic was dominated by one man: David Blaine. Recently, this simply has not been the case. Sure, Blaine remains kicking ass in the magic world with more "real" stunts; however, asshole Criss Angel has been gaining quite a bit of popularity. Though he sucks cock for a living (the magic shit is a side gig), quite a few people seem to have chosen him over Sir Blaine as their star for "Christ that was amazing" illusions.

Until this evening, I thought that that battle had ended there. I thought that Blaine's continuance in dominating the niche (with minimal competition from that cocksucker Criss Angel) was assured. That is all changing.

Tonight I watched a special centering around a motherfucker that calls himself Keith Barry. Being a Blaine sympathizer, I found it difficult to give Mr. Barry an unbiased area of my mind at first...but, once given even a slight chance, he began earning attention. Some of his achievements in his hour special involved risking a million dollars that one of his tricks would work, completely mindfucking the two hosts of Entertainment Tonight (no idea who they are), fucking big time with Wilmer Valderamma, and having a 1/6 shot of being hanged with a noose.

If anyone saw this, I'd be very interested in hearing some reactions along with some comparisons to the other characters in this field.

I'm still claiming allegiance to David Blaine...but, unlike the asshole taster Criss Angel, I'm definitely giving Keith Barry a little bit of attention.
