Pertinent Rap Lyrics of Today - Nubblies.net Forums

I was listening to my iPod shuffle the other day while jogging - my iPod shuffle contains mostly hip-hop whereas my iPod Touch and 160GB iPod Classic are used for controlling the wireless premium audio system in my home, driving short distances, and/or traveling, and thus contain music appropriate for such circumstances - when a Young Jeezy song titled "Crazy World" shuffled its way to my ears. As I listened to the lyrics, a new thread came to mind. Essentially, rappers are fucking hilarious, and oftentimes when a lyric or verse is taken out of context it is either ridiculously non-sensical and/or eerily pertinent to contemporary issues. Therefore, I think a thread is needed to highlight the hilarity and/or relevance of today's rap lyrics.

For example (albeit, slightly outdated):

"Yea, you all better vote for Barack O'Drama/a HAHA/a black president and shit, nigger/oh this shit fucked up right here, nigger/ain't no work, ain't no jobs/a HAHA/yea, still got bills though, nigger/best believe nigger..."

Jeezy later opines, "God damn another trap/I think Bush is tryin' to punish us/ send a little message out to each and every one of us..."

It's funny though, because Romney actually paid more tax than was due in tax year 2011, willingly. He also gave 30% of his income to charity and did not claim his entire charitable donation deduction, which is how and why he paid more tax than what was owed.

Mitt willingly paid more in taxes because he had previously stated that he never paid less than 13.9%.

Interestingly enough, another previous statement of his disqualifies him from being president.

Clearly you have little understanding how the tax code works. He only pays 13% of personal income tax. The dividends from which his income is derived was already taxed at 35%, so technically his income is taxed at a rate of 48%. It's actually probably even higher if you factor in state and local taxes.

There is a reason why dividends are only taxed at 15%, and that is the reason.
