Ok. The Ep is very good. I bought it the night it came out. I have all of the song uploaded on KaZaA, however I rather you buy it and support the band.
Songs: Requiem for a Dream A Kiss and a Promise Garment Todd P. Hepler The cd starts out well, the first song is a good first song. Mostly for the bass riff intro and how it progresses into the hard mix. The the cd just progressively gets harder. The audio, at first I didnt like how it was mixed, it just didnt sound right. However, the more I listened to it, the more I understood why it was mixed the way it was. And if you have seen the live sets, that is mostly what you are getting. They didnt add a whole lot of shit to the songs, they are just straight forward songs. For hardcore, there is diversity throughout the EP. They showed the talent of the band. Josh can scream, Dan and Brad can sing. And Kyle and Nate also know how to really play. Nate shows a little of his drum ability in the song, Todd P. Hepler, with a little drum break, good part of the CD. From the disc, the favorites are these two; Garment, and Todd P. Hepler. They show highs and lows, and are both searching type of songs. I suggest with the listening of the CD, get on their site and read the lyrics. www.josiahrock.com. Enjoy. God Bless. |

Porcelin and creep are both fairly basic single words. Things like that don't bother me... but 'requiem for a dream' is by no means at all a common phrase. The only time I ever heard of it was in conjuction with the movie.
But it's all good if these guys came up with it completely on their own, or the song is actually about the movie... |
