When it comes to Star Trek villains (perhaps even all villains ever created) the Borg reign supreme. They are like super-intelligent, super-strong, highly advanced cyborg space-zombies with a hive-like collective consciousness. They have no other purpose but to assimilate other cultures into their collective in order to gain their knowledge and technology. In the process of assimilation they destroy the target civilization.

I've been reading this book:
![]() It's incredibly good. I've read Gleick's book about Feynman, and it was good enough that I figured I should read anything new he came out with. Any synopsis of the book is confusing and makes it sound extremely uninteresting, it is a thorough history of information, and information theory. Very wide range, very informative and extremely readable. I've been recommending it to people left and right. |
