Default LOST:

Fucking jesus, does anybody still watch this show? It's so goddamn difficult to keep up with whats going on right now, but i'm trying. I had a thread like this before but it seems to have gotten lost in the Reclamation.

>What in the fuck is with Faraday? Why was he working in construction on the Orchid station...lloonnnnggg before current time period, but at the (seemingly) same age?

>Why hasn't Richard aged at all?

>Why in the hell are they calling Locke "Jeremy Bentham", and refusing to speak his name?

P.S. this is the most badass TV character of all time:

1.) Not sure...but people don't age on the island. During that scene, they were talking about drilling through a wall into the energy source...so maybe he's after that for some reason? Obv he's into the time travel shit...so that's how he's there. Hard to say why, though.

2.) People don't age on the island.

3.) Not sure. I didn't even notice this.

Then how are women able to have children, don't they age inside the womb? After Claire had Aaron he obviously aged from being newborn>baby?

The only form of matter that the island's power cannot pierce is amniotic fluid.

the island allows cell growth obviously. the island prevents the destructive aging process that begins after a body matures.

I've never watched this show, as I try not to get involved in never-ending shows. Could somebody summarize it for me? (As short as possible, not including character names)

Are you implying that every tv show/movie/form of entertainment on the planet can't be summed up in a shorter amount of time, F3lix? Do you really need me to define summary for you?

Yea pretty smart actually for networks to make uber-short recaps like that. I've never seen an episode of Lost in my life but am damn near compelled to start watching it after seeing that recap.

Lost is SO much better watched on DVD than TV, IMHO.

I didn't watch my first episode until season 3 I think, but I watched seasons 1 and 2 as back to back episodes online, all in a row, and it was pretty decent. Then once I started watching just one per week again, it got lame. Too many stupid cliffhangers.

So I'm waiting until the series ends to watch the rest all in a marathon.

I was thinking this the entire time while watching last season. "Who the hell is Jeremy Bentham? I know the name, wasn't he another fucking law philosopher? I don't remember the character on here though."
"Oh, its fucking Locke. What?"

My conclusion is that he changed his name after coming back from the island in order to "protect the others" and whatnot. Keep in mind, I haven't seen any of the new season yet.

And, yes, Locke is a badass. Him and Sawyer have always been my favorite two characters throughout. Mr. Echo was awesome too.

This is very very true. Pretty much for every series. I watched all of Entourage in less than a month span.

Being at the academy, and without tv for a while, I was unable to watch season three. I finished last season last night, and will watch the first few episodes of this season online this week. I wish I could just have it on DVD now.

I find it interesting how this concept of being stranded on an island has managed to keep a relatively sane story line over such a long period of episodes.

Well, John Locke was a philosopher too, so that would make a lot of make as an alias then.

I have seen a few sporadic episodes of this show but refuse to watch it until the series is over. I am mostly afraid of being jerked off for eight or nine years and then just have it all wrapped up in a deux ex machina sort of way.

The storyline is quite opposite of sane, especially when you think of all the shit they haven't even touched yet. Now they throw time travel into the equation...fuck.

Don't watch lost with commercials...it's annoying and will make you hate the show.

Q: why do they call him jeremy bentham?

My guess is simple. John Locke, as far as the world knows, "died" in the plane crash. Only the "six" survived. Plus they are all "lying" about what really happened. If a dude named john locke showed up there would be questions asked. Basically "jeremy bentham" is just his code name when he's off the island.

Ugly- this show is totally worth watching. It's not the greatest show ever made, but it is pretty damn fun to watch, and definitely has an element of mindfuck thrown in there. I know people say this about a lot of shows, but you really have to watch every episode in order to appreciate it.
