it was $60 at wal mart plus tax. No, I have never played the original. Everyone online said it was awesome and much better than mortal kombat, so I bought it.
I'm going to try and take it back tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure wal mart's return policy requires that software be unopened. |

From what I've read, the only exchange available to me at this point is for another copy of the same game. This is due to assholes, under the old return policy, buying a game, copying it, returning it for another game, and repeating the process.

You've never used Craigslist? My god man. It's great. It's like the flea market, or Goodwill, except you get to spend the absolute minimum amount of time actually dealing with the other party. You just meet at the same place and exchange goods and money, fuck off and never have to hear from them again. It's amazing.

![]() The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. You should have played the first game before paying $60 bucks for the harder followup game. I'm sure you can get the first Portal game as part of the Orange Box package for $20 or less, or rent it for $4. Don't fuck around buying games on impulse, it usually ends badly. If I'm going to pay that kind of cash for a game, I'm certain it's going to be worth it before buying it.
That said. I'll give you $20 right now for it. |

I can probably get $35 at gamestop.
Normally, I never, ever buy games without testing them out first. Unfortunately, every fucking blockbuster store has gone out of business in this fucking town, thus leaving me unable to rent video games. Therefore, I can only make purchase decisions by reading the reviews and watching the demos. The graphics are pretty good, and the voice acting is solid. I just don't like solving puzzles that much. I prefer killing things. |

The return failed. Apparently it's a federal copyright law, not just a Walmart return policy. Started playing the game a bit more today. It's ok...I guess now it doesn't feel like I flushed $60 down the toilet.
I've found that the puzzles are all extremely simple to solve or extremely difficult. I'm on level 20 or so. |
