Whats up kids, thought i'd dedicate this thread on to furthering techniques for building abs.
Right now, my ab routine (which I usually do halfway through my regular workout)is: 100 regular crunches - (go up about halfway of a regular sit-up and squeeze your abs) 60-100 oblique crunches - (lay on your side and put your hands behind your head, touch your elbow on the up-side to your hip by bending) 50-70 weighted crunches (with this )100 decline ab twists with a 5 kg medicine ball - (use a decline bench and twist your torso left and right as you're doing your regular sit-ups) Other exercises that I switch in are... Ab-warm up - (lay your forarms down and go to a face-down position and straighten your entire body and clench your abs and hold. Similar to push up position, except different arm placement) High-intensity crunches - (Regular crunches, but held in the up position for about 10 seconds instead of 1 or 2) Upright Leg Lifts - (hang from a bar, or use the padded forearm rests and lift your legs straight up and down) Weighted side-bends - (use a dumbell and stand with your feet shoulder length apart, hold the dumbell on one side of your body, and do whatever you please with your other hand, i put mine on my other side. Bend straight to the side as if you are trying to bend your ear to your hip...but don't do that, you'll probably die.) I'm too tired to think of anything else right now, but i'm sure more will come to me. What is your routine, and what do you recommend? [ February 26, 2005, 03:06 AM: Message edited by: Mr. Blonde ] |

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

I have an Ab Tilt:
![]() I try to work on it everyday. It's really easy to use and painless on your back (a lot of ab exercises can wind up making your lower back sore the next day). I got the Ab Tilt for $15 online. Well worth it. -Ugly Bastard |
