Shaw wanna do an avatar bet? This is something you should be able to actually pay up on if you lose. You vs. me. Loser on total points has to use whatever avatar the other guy assigns him for 30 days.

I won a Golden N two years ago by picking all of the seeds in order and felt ashamed at tarnishing the value of a golden N, while lathering myself in your tears. I had hoped people would realize how stupid it was to compete for a Golden N in this manner.
I sat out last year and this year both to protest this horrible practice. People win these stupid brackets by picking the cutest point guard or their favorite color. |

Most people are using the same bracket for their $50 and Golden N. The "least successful will be the Golden N" thing was for folks that buy more than 1 entry into the cash pool (like f3lix) but don't label which entry is for the Golden N. No worries, though, we should be good since they're labeled now.
ID: Go ahead and keep your ish protest going while no one notices. Meanwhile, I'll be collecting Golden N's, one a year, until the end of time from this childish contest. |

A "Golden N" is an "N" in the color gold, see various people's sidebars for an example. It was hypothesized years ago that it stood for Nubblies, but a far more devious scenario has evolved where it is only granted for correctly guessing which batch of Niggers wins the NCAA tournament.

TV deal gives viewers variety of NCAA choices | Men's College Basketball | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle
In short: Sounds like their new deal (as of this year, that lasts 14 years and cost them $10.8 billion) allows them to show all games on multiple channels rather than switching with the action like they always have before. Agreed that it's surprising it's taken this long. Sort of surprised they didn't try to sell this to a cable/satellite provider as a $100 package or something, though. Happy they didn't. |
