And I really can't see how people buy this argument of blacks being just flat out more atheletic all around than other races. I can see it as an argument for the absolute top tier of specific traits like olympic sprinting, but on the other end of the argument are other sports that cater almost exclusively to one athletic traits are usually dominated by other races.

In pure tests of certain traits, I can buy the different genetic traits of each race leading to certain races winning certain events (black people being faster, white people being stronger, etc).

But any sport that involves a combination of different neccesary traits, both physical and mental, simply has too many variables to be dominanated by any one race.

Find 10 random white males between the ages of 21-30 and ten random black males between the ages of 21-30. Pick a sport. Any sport. That none of them have ever played in their life. Make them play every day, 2 hours a day, for a week. I'd bet any sum you'd like that, at the end of the week, the blacks are better at the sport than the whites.

and the anomolie arguement is pretty weak, if blacks have a higher rate of "highest level" athleticism, then their "average level athleticism" would be higher as well.

I could take 10 White people in that age range in basketball, and beat the shit out of 10 random black guys. It comes down to smarts. You can beat Nigs in the head catagory. They might be better athelete's, but they don't have the intelligence to be successful against 10 smart white guys. Its true!

Beebs, I think you're wrong.

Consider socioeconomics and the impact that has on "white" culture and "black" culture.

The fact that blacks are a minority in this country and whites are the majority does not mean that it will be the same in the athletic arena. I mean why stop at black/white? Where are all the mexican basketball players, and all the asian football stars? There are more mexicans than blacks, and not that many more blacks than asians, after all. My point is a lot of what's going on is cultural, not racism. Affirmative action doesn't work in athletic competition because nobody cares about being PC in that arena, they only care about results.

Here's another example...Let's take men's gymnastics. I'm pretty sure the white to black ratio is considerable, and I'm willing to bet it's because most black's don't care, or haven't considered competing in gymnastics. The same can be said for golf before Woods came along.

That would work if white people didn't represent the majority of people who play football, but they do, whereas mexican and asians do not.

So again, I'd like to reiterate how all of you have flat out told me I'm right and that white people can be discriminated against.

I ment that one team might win more than the other just because its a small sample size. Do it an infinite number of times with different sports, neither race would have any meaningful lead.

Even if the average athleticism is higher, the larger numbers of white people would mean that there would still be a large number of white people in the range of athleticism neccesary to play in the NFL.

But yea, you're all right, blacks are some sort of big scary super athletes who are just born that way.

And I'm the racist.

Primarily that white football players have to deal with conscsious and subconscious racism in the form of people not thinking they are athletic enough, which I think has been proven in this thread.

Secondarily that history has shown us, well shown me at least, that pretty much any race that commits itself to being good at any athletic event will do more or less as well as any other race given the proper training and participation.

...this thread needs a bump in regards to McNabb's post game interview after the Bengals game a week or two ago.

In case you didn't catch it, McNabb admitted that, before the last play of the game, he had no idea that ties were possible in the NFL. He went on to chastise the NFL, saying that college football had it right with the no tie system and claiming that there would be hell to pay when a playoff game or the Superbowl ended in a tie. Of course, ties are not permitted in these situations.

Soccer is one of the strongest pieces of evidence that I am right. Take a look at the world powers, no one race dominates; it is the ultimate sample size, the least selection bias based on culture.

Everybody plays, teams are willing to play anybody of any race as long as they are good. Countries of one ethnicity face each other, mixed ethnicity countries face each other, poor play rich, wildly different cultures play each other.

You see, when god took the sinners at the moutain who were worshiping idols, he darkened their skin so that all would be able to recognize them for their evil. He also took a piece of their brain and put it in their leg, which he thought would make them better slaves.
