Taking it next week and failing would be much worse than waiting until October.

I was going to come into work today, really buckle down, work really hard, try to make a lot of money and hopefully get a promotion, but then on the train this guy looked at me funny so instead I'm posting snark on nubblies.

Saint DH 08-25-2011 11:17 AM

I appreciate your kick in the ass. Taking it next week is the right move. The section I was scheduled to take is financial accounting, which covers the most material and, to me, seems like it will be one of the most difficult sections. I'm also registered to take the auditing section. I decided to cancel financial next week and take auditing instead. The price to register for auditing is half that of financial, and the material is also half in scope. The level of detail is a bit greater, but I just took an auditing course in the spring that was basically CPA prep. I feel like I have a fighting chance to pass this section next week. The other section I had less chance of passing imo. So this shit is going down.

Why?

Orgazmo 08-25-2011 11:44 PM

Because it costs $950, the man said.

Its costing him more than $950 a month in lost wages by being an unemployed bum, but that hasn't changed his behavior any.

I hate watching people run, especially guys who run like pathetic little girls. To me, it seems like running is one of the most natural things a body can do, so it should be kind of natural to not run like a fucking dumbass. Nevertheless, I see countless dipshits running like dipshits down the road. Drives me crazy. Jesus Christ almighty it's not that hard.

Vibram Fivefingers, yo.

Do you run with your thumbs up like Jordan, or your hands straight like Bolt? Can you please post a video on how you run properly.

Edit: Can you change your name to Prefontaine?

I do neither. I don't really run much anymore these days either.

No I can't, but I can give you a brief description. For your hands, you basically make a loose grip and relax them, nothing much else to that. Keep your wrists in-line with your fore-arms. Your arms should pump basically parallel with your body. As you pump forward with your right arm, you should stride with your left leg and so on. Lean forward a bit, but mind your posture and keep your back straight. That's pretty much it. There's a bit more to it than that like foot positioning, but this is all you need to do to not look like a dumbass while running.

f3lix 10-06-2011 07:58 PM

I see DH running with a galloping stride and on his toes.

THEINCREDIBLEdork 10-07-2011 12:32 AM

Just let this be his thing and let it be, OK?

Saint DH 10-07-2011 02:24 AM

It doesn't bother anyone else to see people fledgling down the road like retards who just escaped prison camp? I mean come on.

Cocktooth 10-07-2011 07:30 AM

Not really. I know when I run, I look like an overweight dog with 3 legs, so I try not to judge people that are doing things to get fit. That's like a fat guy calling another fat guy fat. Doesn't make much sense.

Ironic Mustache 10-08-2011 11:03 AM

RotD: My mom has been desperately dating every guy who shows the slightest bit of interest in her for the past 2 years or so (prior to that she hadn't dated anyone in something like 10 years). She without fail decides to introduce them to the family on date number 2, on a holiday. So far I've met a new boyfriend on more than one Christmas, one Thanksgiving, several birthdays (mine twice), and at least one Easter. The last boyfriend didn't work out because he confessed to be being a "rehabilitated" ex-kid toucher, who had served time for it. One might think she would take that as a lesson and get to know guys a little better before introducing them to the family. Wrong.

Apparently she got in touch with someone she used to go to high school with who lives in Ohio or something. He came down here and visited once, she decided she didn't like him. He persisted, proposed, and she said yes. So he's moving his family down here and I'm supposed to meet my soon-to-be father-in-law on Thanksgiving.

Ugly Bastard 10-08-2011 11:34 AM

LOL wow epic RotD! That really sucks lol. Why'd she say yes if she doesn't even like him?!

angry pancake 10-08-2011 11:45 AM

Yes it's true. AP is about to become IM's step dad. I'm sure we're going to be great friends, son.

Lonely and doesn't want to die alone?

What is the guy going to do for work, IM?

Repugnant Abomination 10-08-2011 06:37 PM

I still don't see what's wrong with the ex-kid toucher - he's rehabilitated!

Saint DH 10-08-2011 06:42 PM

I agree. Plus, he and IM actually had something in common!

Orgazmo 10-09-2011 01:06 PM

I challenge you to find one person that claims IM is rehabilitated.

Ironic Mustache 10-10-2011 04:48 PM

She said yes because she has an identical twin sister that she used to be attached to at the hip. She's been in a healthy relationship for the past year and a half, and I think my mom is jealous and thinks this is her last chance. Blonde is prolly right. Also, she's dumb. I have no idea what he's going to do for work. I honestly don't even know a single thing more about him than what's in the above post. For all I know, it could be AP. There's actually a part of me that hopes it is.

THEINCREDIBLEdork 10-10-2011 07:24 PM

Maybe you should take him out on a boys night out and bond a little. Play a couple games of tummystix. You know.

Ironic Mustache 10-10-2011 08:24 PM

Tummystix has yet to work on any of the last 8 boyfriends. No more tummystix.
