Rant of the Day 05.06.05

About a month ago I bought two tickets to go see Autechre in Toronto. They just released their new album and are coming to the States to do a tour. A couple days AFTER I bought my tickets for the Toronto show they decided to go ahead and have a Chicago show. Obviously I'd rather drive 8 hours round trip than 18. So I got tickets for that show, think "Of course I'll be able to sell these tickets to the Toronto show, Autechre doesn't come to the States that often, I will surely find someone who wants/needs them." Well what do you know, none of the shows sold out because America is a ginormous pile of writhing, rotting goat-shit. So I still have 2 tickets to a show that I wasted money on because I can't waste more money drive 18 hours to go use them. FUCK Warp's management for not posting all of the fucking tour dates at the same time and FUCK America for having such a fucking terrible, terrible, terrible, horrible, rotting, awful, terrible, shit-smeared musical agenda. How the FUCK are Autechre's shows not sold out. FUCK THIS COUNTRY AND IT'S MUSIC, I WANT ENGLAND.

Girlfriends, I don't know if this is part of their being, or they actually try to do little things that seem to make me sooooooooo freakin' pissed, and they are soooo litttle but I get soooooo mad about them. And I can't say anything about them because I would look like a jerk for doing so, maybe it is just the long day. Maybe, but just once let a night work as I planned it, just once.

I hate taking a couple of days off work and coming back to find that no one has done your work for you.

I am tired of getting messages from people telling me that AIM, MSN, and Yahoo! Messaging systems are shutting down, stop with it already!!!

This isn’t so much of a rant as it is an enraged Ironic Mustache venting before I go crazy and murder several people in my office.

I’m supposed to be taking a leave of absence for a month from my state job. I inquired about it two weeks ago, and was approved. The reason being is that I’m supposed to be training at another job that will have a lot more money but I may hate it, so I wanted to try it out.

Last week I was finishing something up here but had something else to do that was more important. I asked a “friend” of mine to finish it up, which he had no problem doing. Come to find out, he never did it (even though I asked him about it). Today I get to work and get called in by all the bosses so they can talk to me about the problem. They told me that since “I dropped the ball” they had to ask my friend to finish the work and it turned out being late. He never said a word about me asking him to do it 3 days prior. When I told them about it they were basically like, “Oh…. Well we didn’t know that… But anyway, we’re going to go ahead and take away our approval for your time off. Either continue working your normal schedule or quit.” They tell me the second to the last day before I was supposed to leave.

Mother fuckers… So now I have to decide what the shit I want to do by tomorrow, when I really wont have any way of knowing what I want to do until like a month from now.

That sucks hard-freakin'-core man.

Don't throw a way dirty water until you get new, and its seems as if your new water may be paying your bills and giving you extra cash, quit right now................

Man, quit just to shove it in these assholes' faces. Even if your potential job paid less than this job, I'd still quit. Fuck these guys. Go out with a bang too if you can.
