Protip: There's a larger dropbox inside that is self-service.

I found that the outside ones can hardly handle anything. The inside one...it's on a whole new level. May be worth going in after hours to avoid being scolded.

This isn't setting anyone up for disappointment, the deed is done. In this case, the act itself is enough to bring a victorious grin to the faces of all who believe. I have no illusions that anyone from any of these places will respond regardless of whether or not the packages make it to the destinations, who would? The act itself is the victory.

The point of these shenanigans is to inspire shenanigans. I am sorry that I have brought in some A-Game shenanigans and that its taking the spotlight off of you making comments about being gay with Orgazmo, but try not to be jealous.

I have no idea how big an item would go in the drop box, but my guess is that they would just leave the items where they are.

The packages, with the exception of the guitar box have been deposited in the standard drop box right inside the post office doors. I think for the guitar I will just leave it sitting on top of a street box and hope that:

A. postal carrier grabs it
B. some asshole off the street grabs it and takes it home!

I will disperse the remaining 15 or so envelopes with coupons / advertisements as they arrive in my mailbox along with the above mentioned letter.

With the help of a drunken Orgazmo, I managed to mail out the guitar as well. I don't think it made it past the drop chute at the post office and I can't imagine they won't be coming for him today, but its sent!

In short, the chute inside was about 2 feet wide...and this box was about 2.5 feet wide. So I put it in so that it was sticking out and proceeded to slam the steel chute upwards until the guitar neck snapped enough to cram it in there. The box was completely ripped to shit afterward (guitar bits littering the ground, and whatnot); however, when it was all said and done, the box was wholly in the chute.

...of course, it was wedged in there, so, after turning the chute over, the package just stayed in the chute (instead of dropping into the little basket back there or whatever the hell catches the packages).

Had I had my wits about me, I would have taken a picture.

I then almost pissed my pants on the ride back to my house. DD had to let me out in some neighborhood.

Sidenote: DD, did I leave gloves in your car?

Update: Turns out I did take a picture! Huzzah! Pardon the absolute shit quality.

so...I work at a mailhouse and we got your votive candles...I thought it was pretty hilarious. I'm posting to warn you. You may have started a war that you cannot finish. Keep in mind these people have access to every junk mail list that goes out of this region every day. There's been some talk and some of the higher ups are saying they might add you onto every list we have. That's about 400 letters a DAY...crammed into your mailbox, dropped on your front door...you'd have to sift through them all to get your bills and important information....I'm just sayin if the 5 big US mailhouses get together on this you could be in trouble...

This is the main reason I didn't put a return address on any of the packages. On second thought, I might give you my address willingly, 400 return envelopes a day filled with aggressive amounts of heavy trash would cost them a shit ton of money, all my bills / important mail are online anyways.
