well it gets hot int there
it does not have good acoustics(sound) low roof and polls sticking right down the center so if the crowed gets crazy well thats anoying you can't have the band on a very high platform so if your not in the front you can not see the band well and i just think a open feild would be better than in there i mean there are other places in town they could have it, but i guess they started a tradition and i guess it's ok just would not be my first choice. |

Are you a fatass Thrice?
quote:
Originally posted by Thrice_underground: it does not have good acoustics(sound)

This is quite possibly true... I can't remember, I do remember that the sound was far from bad. Much better than the fireman's building or some shinz like that.
quote:
Originally posted by Thrice_underground: low roof and polls sticking right down the center so if the crowed gets crazy well thats anoying

Dude, seriously, the polls are all the way on the side and there was plenty of room for the crowd. Unless of course you're a fatass. Are you a fatass Thrice?
quote:
Originally posted by Thrice_underground: you can't have the band on a very high platform so if your not in the front you can not see the band well and i just think a open feild would be better than in there

So what you're saying is you are an incredibly short fatass.
quote:
Originally posted by Thrice_underground: i mean there are other places in town they could have it, but i guess they started a tradition and i guess it's ok just would not be my first choice.

If you're willing to pay for an alternate venue, I'm sure SSU would take you up on that offer. Here you are complaining about people not going to shows and you're sitting here complaining your short fatass off about where this one's being held. If it's that big a deal for you, here's an idea, don't go. I'm sure SSU won't die if they don't get your $5.00 or see your short fatassed face. Wow, impressive arguments all around i must say. Yes I am another newbie, at least to this site, and yes i did join just so that i could let everyone know why exactly musicman and the ivy league no longer get any respect for barely anything. So lets get to the chase.
The battle of the bands at the Y was one of the best shows that warsaw has seen in a while. Not seen since the likes of Next Gale North, haha, i amuse myself. Moving on, please don't bitch about how a band that you've only played in one show got "screwed over" at the battle of the bands. Next, don't complain about the scene that is your only chance at getting shows. beyond that, don't go around complaining about the other bands in the scene. It just pisses everyone off, which i know for a fact is all that you intended to do with this in the first place. The ivy league used to get my respect for having the balls to play non-punk music in mostly punk shows. The way they maintained that respect was by not bitching about it. who gives a flying shit if you had your acoustic guitar at the battle of the bands, i had mine too. we were fully prepared to use it, but we chose not to play a fifth song, which would've been all acoustic, so that we could keep the vibe up for when a thousand seasons played, a vibe that the ivy league sadly enough did not get going. cyrus' vocals are ok, but not the best in warsaw, if you really want american idol vocals, call thomas hall or someone like that. until then, why don't you just spend your time watching american idol or playing mozart on your guitar instead of bitching about how your little brother's band didn't place in the YMCA battle of the bands, i couldn't be happier with how the final standings came out, as long as you don't win, it's a good day. you had your battle of the bands glory already, so just shut up and let the rest of us enjoy some good screaming and punk rock glory. and need i remind you that there are a whole lot of punker airheads out there that outnumber you greatly, and most of them don't like to type things on message boards, so just be careful about who you want to piss off, now if you'd excuse me, im going to go listen to my next gale north cd, hypocrite. ill probably think of more to say later, so until then, >rock on< |

i dont know who you are bleed black, are you a gay stocker? thats scary and even if I do pose as a fatass well then I'm just one more of many posers in warsaw
i wish i was fat, then i would get more chics! oh well oh and who are you bleed black if know me soo well I at least want to know who you are if you do not want to say on here then sand me a private message you had some nice points Fruitacious B BUT lets not go threatening ppl who are not "punk" I mean I like punk more than alot of stuff BUT I don't want a rivalry between the different scenes besides we all make up one diverse warsaw music scene so lets keep it friendly between them. |

Yeah, i know what you mean by the threats, and i did not mean for it to seem as though i was threatening him, because im not like that. I said that, because i've talked to some guys that are getting really carried away with this, and their intentions aren't the best. I would in no way go anywhere beyond just verbal with this, it's not worth it. rock on.
