I am going to buy 2 I think. They don't live that long, don't take up that much room/maintenance and I hear that they are smart and all emotional and shit like dogs. Obviously not the SAME as dogs, but LIKE dogs.

I've been thinking about this for quite some time and I think caring for a living being with as little maintenance as possible appeals to me.

Imagine if you met the following chick: Single (moderately attractive), lives alone, no kids, but does have a pet rat. No real future prospects, but does have a pet rat. Lived in Korea for an extended period of time, and have not yet eaten pet rat.

You see how the phrase, "but does have a pet rat," sounds? Even amongst other positive aspects? Even with my liberal usage of "moderate"? Imagine that were you.
