Note that I don't have it til I'm 30. To be honest, I live like I don't have it, since I plan on investing it in something that and it will still feel like I don't have it.

Now that I think of it, I just just thought about who is telling me that I'm acting like money grows on trees. It's the same faggots who have never left Indiana. No wonder you think it's so damn hard to make money. You like in an area where if you pull in 75k/yr you are the pimp of the town. Now look at those who left Indiana (UB, DJFC, me) and see what they think about money. Totally different. When you are around people that pull in 6 figures like it's nothing, your mindset will likely change. But you'd have to leave Indiana first.

You're a fucking idiot, f3lix. First off, "pulling in 6 figures like it's nothing" is one of the dumbest quotes I've ever heard. If you're making 6 figures, you probably have to work your ass off. Second, I know people who earn in the upper 6 to 7 figures and they live in Indiana. Also, if you're making 100k and living in Chicago, that 75k in Indiana is probably worth more. You place far too much emphasis on where you live. It's not about where you live, it's about what you know.

In all reality, you not only failed to make me look stupid, but once again proved my point that Indiana folks think you have to "work your ass off" to make 6-figures. | |

f3lix you truly do sound like an idiot right now. UB is a professional poker player and runs some good online businesses as well. Quit acting like him cashing a 130,000 (or whatever it is) is easy. If it was a helluva lot more people would be doing it.
I'm not positive but didn't FC graduate with a 3.5+ from the kelly school of business? Most people that are straight A students and graduate from one of the best business schools in the nation go out and make pretty good money out of college because they work their ass off. Despite Warsaw's population it is an unbelieveabley rich community because of the orthopedic industry. We have many huge companies for a town our size and I know many people who make well more than 6 figures. Hell in our neighborhood alone I'd venture to say 80% or more make 6 figures+. |

Since it's so easy and you're so arrogantly brilliant. Please let all of us know all the easy ways to make 6 figures a year. I consider myself decently intelligent so being able to learn this shouldn't be a problem.

I really don't know why you guys keep bringing up poker. I don't and haven't brought it up once. I don't think more than 100 poker players bring in 6-figures each year and there certainly aren't any posting on this board. Bringing up DJFC continues to prove my point. You guys know a LOT more 6-figure people than the level of difficulty you make it out to be. Is there a simple way to make it in a year? Of course not. You need to right training and more importantly, you need to know the right people. I just can't get over what you guys think $100k is worth. Am I the only one here that thinks have a million dollars isn't enough to feel comfortable the rest of my life?
Obviously, the majority of users posting in this thread do not agree with my take on money, so I'm just going to drop it. I'm living my life the way I wish to live it, am financially secure (because of how I'm living my life), and my hopes to take off the blinders worn by some of you is obviously too difficult to overcome. Call me an idiot all you want, I'm not the guy too proud to do anything but live with his parents for a year to get ahead. I'm not the guy who will never leave his hometown because of fear or a lack of realization for what is out there in the world. I'm not the guy who bows down to and idolizes people who make 6-figures a year. I am, however, the guy who will go and get what he wants and leaving Indiana to obtain that was one of the best decisions I ever made. |

Border Patrol hires in at base salary at GS-5 or 7, depending on education/experience. On top of that you get a 25% in Administratively Uncontrolled Overtime. Another 15% on top for Night Differential (6pm-6am) and another 10% for Sunday pay. Also, locality pay varies by where you live, obviously.
I came in as a 7, and made ~53K that year. Currently, regular agents top out at GS-11, but that will go up to GS-12 at the beginning of Fiscal Year 2011 (October) Supervisors are GS-12s now, and will go up to 13s at that time. Here is the BASE, Law Enforcement rates are slightly higher, but the current one posted only goes up to 10, so is of worthless example. 2010 General Schedule Pay Scale |

I have to put up with this fucking bullshit on the daily. If you're in your 20's and aren't wearing heels, you're basically a social reject. These girls were actually way sexier (attitude wise) than your average Korean girl, but they all fucking dress so sexy constantly. I'm glad summer is right around the bend, but at the same time I hate it because right now I have zero sexual outlet. Thing is, i've dated a few Korean girls but can't stand them after long because the cultural differences don't mesh at all. They don't act or behave as sexy as they dress (which is disappointing), and are often very clingy/dramatic, more than your normal girl already is. As a race, Korean girls have some of the best legs and ass i've ever seen. It's pretty amazing. |

Ask and you shall receive. Although honestly, if you wanna see hot Korean chicks in next to zero clothing you should really check out the K pop thread
This is some girl I met who I don't have a chance with at all, namely because she's dating some quasi-famous Swedish singer named Lasse Lindh, but i've seen her a few times out and she's added me on facebook...twice (i deleted her after the first time because she's a total materialist whore). That being said, she's still pretty hot. |

So i'm back in Korea now as most of you know and i'd like to tell you a little bit about places called love motels and dvd bangs (dvd rooms). As i've mentioned elsewhere on the board, most Koreans live with their parents until they're married, which easily goes into their late 20's. That being said, they're still permitted to have relationships and stay out all fucking night without a curfew, they just have to live at home. This creates an interesting problem for Korean couples, namely the question "Uhh, where are we going to have premarital sex?"
Enter the bolded terms. DVD bangs are places all around town, where couples mainly go (although foreigners go sometimes with friends to predrink or nurse a hangover), pick out a movie to "watch", and the rooms are small coffin-like dark places usually furnished with plether-like, easy to clean couchbed things and lots of tissues. Korean couples come here to fuck. All the time. Nobody really says it, it's under the guise of more of a personal movie theater, but it's pretty much renting a room for a couple hours to fuck. While I have frequented these, I have never fucked in one, as I have my own apartment to do that in. While i'm waiting to move into my new apt (tomorrow), I am currently set up in a Love Motel. They're like regular motel rooms, except cheaper and usually rented out by the hour. Because of their cheapness, however, lots of foreign teachers get put up in these in between contracts while waiting for their long term housing. Love motels vary and are pretty funny. While there are certainly seedy ones, many of them are pretty nice. I currently have what I can only guess to be a 50+ inch LCD HDTV mounted on the wall with about 100 channels, two of those are Korean porn channels, which I'm enjoying thoroughly. There's also a computer in this room, which i'm currently posting off of. It's quite convenient and not even that bad of a computer. The bed is huge and comfortable, and while mine is normal, I've heard there are many love motels with the stereotypical heart shaped beds and vibrating options. There are condoms on my dresser that of course i'm not using because i'm a loser. There is also a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Many couples also obviously come rent these for a couple hours, which usually only runs around $20 or less, pry more for the nicer ones like this. So that's all. It's awkward being here and I can only assume this bed has had significantly more naked people fucking on it than even regular motel rooms, and i'm here by myself with a shitload of luggage posting on Nubblies. |
