Blonde has a track record of doing the same thing. Personally I've never done it to anyone. It is, needless to say, pretty petty and small-minded. However, even if there were a way to prevent people from doing this (which there probably isn't), I don't think it should be stopped.

Nah, there's really not a way to curb this behavior. Imo, any rep or negrep should be in regards to a post. That's kind of the point of the rep, as each rep is tied to a post. Others, of course, have differing viewpoints. I guess it's each person's prerogative to use the rep as they see fit.

In short: Do as you please. I may fuck with some settings sometime to try to make rep more post-centric, but, for now, so long as the system allows something, I can't very well tell you that you can't do it.

I only have a history of doing it to people who negrep me for stupid shit like "i've seen it before" when it's not posted on the board, or something like that. When i'm legitimately wrong, I usually don't negrep back. Clearly some people are still having problems understanding my rationale. I'll help you understand the feeling next time you post a song i've heard before with a negrep.

I had a question which will no doubt be seen as pointless whining. That being said.. you know the video I posted of the dude pissing all over the bathrooms? I was negrepped for that twice. One of the neg reps was legitimate, I suppose. The other was not. The negger that did it left a comment saying "Not hilarious, dick move." This leads me to believe that I was negrepped for something someone else did. This is wrong. I doubt there is any remedy for such things. All we can really do is hope for a bit more discretion on their part.
