To quell this right here, visas to countries in europe/australia (which i'm guessing is what F3lix dealt with), especially work visas, seem to be different for visas teaching anywhere in Asia.

I never had to physically get a visa put in my passport for Australia to work for 4 months. I did to come here to work for a year. Different countries/regions have different rules.

Anyways...

Any update, poor homeless/car-less repug?

We drove through the night and got to San Francisco at 9 a.m. and by 3 p.m. we had new passports in hand. We're going on close to 40 hours with no sleep. The visa situation is still fucked up, but we might still figure something out. Regardless, the passports are the most important thing.

No, your personal safety is the most important thing. Please do not drive when you are sleep deprived. It can have worse effects than alcohol. If you feel tired please pull offside the road, even if you can only nap for 15 minutes.
