Has anybody ever read this series?

I haven't read any of the books since I left AZ, but I read all of them within a few months when I was living there. Probably the second best (after LOTR) fantasy series I have ever fucking read. I can get into a description more later, but trust me, it's awesome, and not just because of dragons, direwolves, and epic wars.

This is much more "adult" than LOTR. There is an ample amount of inter-family and clan manipulation and lots of gore as well. I can't even describe it, I borrowed the first book from a friend and couldn't put them down after.

Anyways, the reason for the bump is that I just found out that HBO is doing a series on them, so if you don't trust my word, you know that HBO doesn't really put out too many shitty series. I'm really looking forward to it.

If it's any consolation, the title of this thread is pretty kick ass, but I feel like you should have phrased it: A Song of Fire and Ice. It just seems to roll off the tongue a little nicer.

Unfortunately, you have the whole series as of yet. I read those like 4 years ago and Dance with Dragons still isn't out yet, but it's supposed to this year.
