![]() hahahhahahahhahahhahhaha, these guys are probably the biggest bunch of dumbasses ever assembled in the state of Florida, well except the Florida State University. They are a brand new company therefore they will have little to no software support from the big video game developers, so there will be no incentive to buy this console. They don’t have the money like Microsoft does to attract developers, so they will be hard pressed to find good games to come out on their system. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Demitri: The company intends to launch the game console to the U.S. consumer market by November 2003. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> To release a console this late in the console wars is ludicrous. Lets look at buckeye's little time table here. 2003 this cumbucket goes on the market, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they have A good game that comes out with it. This game will be facing competition from such games as Halo 2, Project Gotham Racing 2, and Fable. Its going to feel like a Jew in Iran after Christmas 2003 is over. Not to mention the other 3 consoles can afford to drop prices to entice buyers to just forget about the new kid on the block. [b]2004[b] one year has passed and this is about the time it takes developers to get a good feeling of the console, this means good games, but not the best the system can offer. Meanwhile Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube developers will be releasing games that fully utilize their hardware. [b]2005[b] developers (assuming they still have some and are in business) are making games that really flex their consoles muscle. However at this point in time Xbox 2, and PS3 are released therefore making this console look like it is from the stone age, as a result their console will be put on the clearance rack, and their company will go under like the Titanic did after hitting a big piece of ice. In conclusion I hope they are married to wealthy spouses, because I smell a bankruptcy. |

![]() Sounds like buckeye is a die-hard XBOX fan. You know, I own both Xbox AND Playstation 2, and there are just some things that Playstation has that XBOX doesn't (currently). So far, I've seen tons more games on Playstation 2 -such meaning "good"games. On XBOX, I've only managed to see a few decent games. With this new Phantom thing coming out, I'm at least curious. Let the outcome speak for itself I say.

![]() Dreamcast was the SHIT as in Good Shit. Dremacast would still be around if it wasn't for the lack of marketing on Sega's part. I mean people in U.S bought more then in Japan!! Now that is just crazy! I have a Dreamcast and I still play it. I love it. I even import games for it. It is a good console just lack of marketing killed it.

![]() i figured i would do a little bit of an update on this "phantom" game system. To tell you the truth the name phantom is quite suiting to this game console, because upon futher invegistation of it by ign.com the following where found out....
The official unveling of this console is expected to be at GDC, but there is a slight problem the company isnt on the exhibitors list..... The company is also supposed to make more appearances at Dice Summit, and the biggest video game venue E3, both of which its name is not on the exhibitors list. Also IGN did a few more searches such as registered trademarks for the company, patents for the game system, etc. All of which turned up nothing. Also you will notice in the pictures above that there is no optical drive on the console (where you put cds) which kind of makes it hard to understand how it could run anything. All of this proves that the story is full of shit so dont expect to hear anything else about this console except that well... it is a phantom because it doesnt exist. for futher details http://xbox.ign.com/articles/383/383314p1.html |

RIP Dreamcast -Ugly Bastard<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> IF we use this logic that would mean that gamecube will go under. Although you can buy one that does this for about 300 dollars and you have to import it from Japan, i still welcome UB's theory. I own every nintendo console except the gamecube, mainly cause it is horrible. However Nintendo is planning on becoming a multi-platform game developer by 2005, so it wont suprise me if they stop producing consoles also. |

Here are the consoles i own currently or have owned. -nes -snes -gameboy -n64 -sega genesis -playstation -playstation 2 so by calling me biased to Xbox you will find that statement to be inaccurate. So Anky, by Playstation having things that are better on it than Xbox please explain to me what exactly is better. As far as games go you will notice that Xbox has just as many good games as the PS2 does, any list you can come up with ill match. You also might take note that well the holiday lineup for next Christmas is going to be all Xbox, they will have some incredible games coming out. ![]() Here's the thing about GameCube and why it's my hero as opposed to the other two.
Xbox is good shit, not denying that, it is a very good system. Playstation2 also kicks the ass, I was a huge fan of Playstation #1 back in the day. Xbox - I hate microsoft and Bill Gates and his pathetic little faggoty ass with a passion and will never, NEVER endorse his products... FUCKER. Playstation2 - I know people who would have bought GameCubes rather than Playstation2's if it wouldn't have been for the DVD capabilities. I myself have an iMac with a DVD-R drive, so I have nothing to worry about in that field. I'm not saying that that is the ONLY reason you should buy a Playstation2. My allegience to Nintendo continues with that fact that they were tuff enuff not to join the DVD game, they stayed faithful to just video games, that's all the GameCube is about. While most people see this as a downfall (economically), I see it as honorable. Nintendo has and I'm sure always will have my favourite games. I'm not saying they are better, they just have the games that I like to play. I don't play many sports games nor do I play many simulation racing games (besides F1), and I've never been a huge fan of 1st person shooters, I get bored of them. So in conclusion, I will always remain faithful to Nintendo whether they keep making their own consoles or not, (and if they didn't I would switch to Sony, I'm a fan) I am Nintendo fan not because their system is better or what-not, simply because Nintendo has what I like, and I don't need anything else. This passive message has been brought to you by Titan Treef***er, thank you for listening, and have a good day. |

If Nintendo is all about the games, then why is their online support so horrible? If they didn't want to include a DVD kit to be tuff thats fine, i can understand this since copying gamecube games is next to impossible. But to support online play the way they do is just plain stupid. Online play adds alot more life to a video game, and replay value. If i was CEO of Nintendo and my company was all about video games i'd be damned if my system supported online play the way they do. |

![]() To my knowledge they haven't completely revealed how their online capabilities work.
You should fill me in and/or find me a source article to read. I understand your point entirely, but that's still not something I'm looking for in a gaming system. It's never really interested me that much because my first concern is always oneplayer games. When I play multiplayer games, I've always enjoyed actually having people around while playing them. But this brings up the topic on how humanity is becoming less and less sociable and more and more locked onto their screens in their homes in general. I mean you can fuckin' buy groceries over the internet and have them delivered, fucksake man. Not that that's what online playing is all about, it's obviously a good (and very popular solution) to multi-plaer, but still, it's not a necessity for me. |

You can find their only game here.... http://cube.ign.com/articles/376/376115p1.html <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Titan: When I play multiplayer games, I've always enjoyed actually having people around while playing them. Not only can you have up to 4 people play on one Xbox while on Xbox live, you can take those 4 friends and play against up to 12 other people depending on the game. Therefore you have the enjoyment of having with you, and you still get to kick someone's ass in a multiplayer game. You will also find the Xbox live lets you talk to your opponents, and allies while playing, so no need to worry about humanity being less sociable, Xbox Live is as social as the video gaming industry gets, and makes it a step up from the standard video game console, and television set. ![]() Well in the game you have to play stealth and you can't suck blood to hard or he will notice and try to kill you and then you have to fly around and try to get out of the way and hide and go back again. I haven't played it for along time, but it got to rank number 3 in Japan, but they love those kinda games over there. I even saw a game that you had 100 days to have sex with this girl and that was the whole point of the game.

Looks like Microsoft plans to buy Vivendi's game division. Vivendi owns Havas and Blizzard. Havas makes Half Life, and Blizzard is the creator of such gaming hits as the Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo series, some of the greatest games ever created. Microsoft intends to buy this company with the purpose of strengthening their internal software line, meaning that these companies would be making all their games Xbox and possibly Windows exclusive. Microsoft bought Bungie, the company that made Halo. Halo was originally to be a PC game with serious online multiplayer capabilities, before Microsoft bought it and made it a selling point for the XBox. If Microsoft bought Vivendi Games, I might possibly lose all faith in humanity due to that fucking behemoth Microsoft. I would literally be ill. They have ruined to many good things. I will never buy a Microsoft product, no matter whoever the fuck they buy. I hate them. |
