If you lived in Iowa, who would you vote for to win the Iowa Caucus tonight?

I honestly don't particularly care for any of them. I voted Edwards just because he kinda seems younger and livlier than the rest of them. Basically, he's the least boring of the candidates.

Wesley Clark would be my choice, though I think Dean would be easier for Bush to beat.

John Kerry. I have followed him for a good while now, and I think he's down to Earth and cares for the American people. I want to see him as the next President.

Sense none of them stand out, I'm not voting for any of them. Not like it matters who is going to win anyway.

Gee, I would think it does matter, seeing as how the winner will be in the Democratic lead. I mean its not like this has anything to do with being the next president. Your moronic ways never cease to amaze me.

Wow! Really? I had no idea!

Lets see what they win:
1. They get to be leader of a party that's completely lost on what to do, or where to go.
2. A chance at being the President? Yeah right.

The Democratic primaries have nothing to do with being the next president because whatever cookie-cutter cutout that comes out of them will have assuredly much less backing from their party compared to past years as well as a population that doesn't care about their boring asses. (ha, an unintentional pun)

That's why it doesn't matter, Vol. Stick to sports.

No. John Kerry is not "down to earth" in the least bit. He's the biggest asswad of the bunch of them. Apparently you haven't been paying too much attention. He's malicious in his treatment of the other candidates and makes absolutely outlandish attacks against Bush (who I can't claim to be a huge fan of, but Kerry is often out of line). Besides, his policies will harm us in the international community and cripple us at home. Beyond that, he eminates an aura of pure sleaze. Maybe you can't see through it, Vol, but he puts out a very artificial vibe. Read him say fuck in his interview with MTV, or perhaps see how he handles younger voters, or maybe find out about his reaction to "Puff the Magic Dragon". Kerry tries to be cool. That's not something I want in a president, especially by someone who fails at it miserably and comes off as downright creepy.

I'd like to see Gephardt or Edwards take this one, although with the way things are going (barring economic downturn, terrorism, or failure in turning over Iraq this summer), I just don't see any of the Democrats beating Bush in November.

So I saw on TV.

I still think Dean will probably do really well in NH, so this whole race is really going to be close.

Howard Dean is as over rated as the Indianapolis Colts.

So where do they go from here? Is it New Hampshire?

A little nugget of shit for everyone: The last person to win the Iowa caucus, who also went on to become President, was Jimmy Carter, in 1972.

And the fact that he does seem artificial makes him down to earth. Doesn't everyone have artificial qualities. What I like about him is his America first vibe I get from him.

What the fuck is that supposed to mean? I really hope you're not suggesting that I'm sort of fascist ultra-conservative or something, because I'd be forced to crack your ignorant skull and replace the mush sloshing around inside with something functional.

Look, although you buy into his bullshit, Kerry is what those emo/punk/hardcore kiddies these days would call a poser, and I do not want this jackal running my country.

Your defense of him is illogical... you claim that his artificiality makes him more "down to earth", more normal, more authentic, no?

Being fake does not make you more real, it makes you a fraud, and in Kerry's case, an inept one at that.

You're talking about a candidate who supported going into of Iraq, but would pull every American out Iraq tomorrow if he could, neglecting any and all consequences such a move would have. Do you have any idea what kind of ramifications there could be for this country (and the Iraqis) if we just up and leave? It could, and probably would, destroy us.

You're talking about a candidate that would bloat the size of the government to gargantuan proportions.

You're talking about a candidate that supports partial-birth abortion.

A real winner... my ass.

Pay more attention.

Fruit, do we need to start a thread on partial-birth abortion? The crux of the abortion issue is that the baby/fetus is not a person. Partial-birth abortion "partially" delivers the child and brutally murders it. Most pro-choice advocates are even against it. Honestly, how can you defend such a practice?
