Correct. We are taught to stay off price until you know the ins and outs of the deal. Always find out if they have money down, trade, and around about credit score before giving price. Things like bank fees can kill any gross if someones score is low. That's why, anytime you shop for a car, you always should either have your own financing before stepping on the lot, or at the very least, tell them that. If they know you are going through a different bank, other then theirs, they have to play by the book.

Correct. The only places we have prices are when we market in magazines. We normally don't work with high mark ups on our cars. To make profit, we try and get the whole story, and from there is where we make our money. I never actually go through the process much anymore. I've made my nitche by being up front and honest. I haven't sold as many cars lately though, so I have to make a decent profit if I'm only selling 2 or 3 cars a week.
