I looked up Deepak as well after watching some of his antics cause he's kind of a fuck.

The Templeton Prize is kind of a big deal when it comes to the rift between science and religion. It deals a lot with Non-overlapping Magisteria (NOMA), partially-overlapping magisteria (POMA) and complete overlapping magisteria (COMA)...whether or not science and religion should overlap each other in their fields (as you can guess, this really only goes one way--science overlapping religion entirely). Good things to research if you have some time.
