So I've been reading up on anarchism and realized I've never really had it right. It combines everything thats right about socialism (non-competitive, non-hierarchical) and everything thats right about libertarianism (maximum liberty). Also, it seems to be more progressively friendly than the current system.
I'm kind of shocked that its not a more popular theory, given that it would benefit the majority of the current system's population. Aside from seeming like an impossible transition from either system, what do you guys think about anarchism? |

I knew that it wasn't as bad as I was brought up to believe, but have never really researched it. I'll look into it a bit more.

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

The problem with Anarchist ideals, in my oppinion, is that nobody seems to realize that the extreme isn't the favored solution but by visiting the anarchist ideals we should incorporate much into our systems of government. Anarchism is written off so quickly.

The only ideal of anarchism is that there are no ideals. Its a political theory that relies heavily on changing the system to ensure equality as it plays out. But I know that wasn't your point, I'm not sure what you mean by

What I mean is that most peolpe talking about anarchy don't actually want it.
They want the concepts of anarchy to be a guide when governing ourselves. It's wonderful to discuss anarchism in an attempt to govern ourselves less. |
