Like i said, lots of people get dogs here and take them home. I guess it costs like 100$ or so to take a dog home to the states as baggage. So thats not a really good reason. If I was going home after this year or whatever, i could take her no problem. Only thing is, I want to travel for a couple months after...been thinking about how I might be able to handle that. My parents have an empty nest and they've been gradually replacing us with dogs. I'm sure shipping her home for a few months or even longer wouldn't be out of the question.

gotta agree with the others on this one. a dog is really going to be a pain in the ass.
plus, its got a collar, chances are it just ended up lost or some shit. Theres probably some korean missing dog signs that you can't read. Which a missing dog sign in korean would be pretty funny (cuz they EAT DOGS LOL!!1). |

Blonde, I hope you prove everybody wrong and make a life-long bond with this dog.
I asked UB about his thoughts on getting a dog before I got mine and he echoed the sentiments of it not being all it's lived up to be. I think it has a lot to do with others living with you and helping you take care of it. It's like being a single parent. Now if you had a spouse (or life-partner, in your case) then it would be much easier to take care of. Some things to think about... If you train it right, it won't piss/poop inside. Thus you'll be required to go home and take the dog out instead of just doing your own thing. You'll need to end your nights early to take care of your dog. If you don't, it'll get a bladder infection and then get sick and it will cost you hundreds to get it back to health if you haven't spotted the symptoms early enough. That dog looks big enough to chow down a lot of food. That should run you $200-$300 each year. Now you could just neglect the dog, but seeing that you're an emotional little bitch, I doubt you'll be able to do that. Notice all of us who have dogs are telling you the same thing. |

If you can make the commitment, I think it is a great idea. Unfourtuantely, you and the word commitment don't really go great together.

this isn't the issue. so far she's pretty low maintenance, and super quiet, i dunno. i've always had dogs pretty much, but obviously i agree with you guys. i'm not like super attached but she is a GOOD dog...i haven't even had her for 24 hours though. i dunno what to do honestly. i might just ask around to see if anyone else wants to take her maybe.

This young girl has it right, the dog clearly already has an owner, is it chipped/anything on the collar?
If you want a dog then get one, but it doesn't look in bad condition, so I doubt it was neglected, I think first priority would be to try and return her to her previous owner. Also +1 to the anti dog thing, my dog is great but having lived on my own for 5 years and not having the time/motivation to look after her, she now lives with my parents. Maybe get a robodog thing? tamagotchi? |

i'm still trusting you guys on this one. everybody loves dogs, but the single parent analogy really makes sense. in regard to finding her family before, people abandon dogs here ALL the time (she has a colar on with something written in korean), but koreans generally like small dogs and i guess its common practice to let them go once they grow out of being a puppy...however shitty that is, koreans are kinda shitty people.
even if i wanted to find her family, what would i do, put up signs in english? hardly anybody speaks it here. and its not like she has a tag either, its just something in marker (probably the dogs name...kinda faded) written in marker. so fuck the owners, this dog has been verified by several people as living on her own in a park eating garbage for like over a month. she's getting western owners. i have some guys coming to see her tomorrow night...i'm sure they'll take her though |

Oh wait, that didn't happen at all. Some friends found her wandering in a local park alone after eating garbage scraps for over 3 weeks and they remembered I had mentioned looking into getting a dog (before I consulted nubblies) so they brought her to my place, otherwise they were going to take her to the police station. Knowing the culture here better than married, yuppie-fuck career woman TBE's bitch-ass does, and that they literally EAT large dogs as food in restaurants and abandon puppies once they start to grow into adults, and that because of those it probably wouldn't get adopted or just plain put to sleep at the police station if I didn't take her in, I did, and have been debating keeping her, simultaneously looking for other possible owners. Good owners. So, Twoblackeyes, i'll give you another chance to try and make me look bad, but you might as well just go back to your relentless and horrifying assault of worthless -1pt negreps for no reason, like you usually do. Otherwise, titz plz. | |

clearly a case of latent homosexuality.
Mr. Blonde thinks of TBE as a female authority figure which reminds him of his mother. This causes Mr. Blonde to revert back to a mindset where he feels he must rebel against his overbearing mother. Mr. Blondes hostility toward TBE is actually redirected sexual urges he has toward his own mother. Mr. Blonde often fantasizes about having sex with himself. This is due to repressed homosexual feelings. Mr. Blonde rationalizes to himself that since he is not thinking about another man but only himself, that makes him not a homosexual. Mr. Blonde names his imaginary doppelganger-sexual-partner TwoCementShoes. Since Mr. Blonde's relationship with TBE indirectly revolves around subconscious sexual fantasies about his own mother, his sexual arousal while crafting that post inadvertently made him type an alias of his own self, TwoCementShoes, in place of the person's name he was directing his sexual energy towards because of the association of sexual feelings and his creation TwoCementShoes. Therefore, revealing what we know now. |

From a conversation Blonde and I had via his alter ego. I feel now in this thread is the time and place to bring this horrible piece of evidence to light.
