G'd up from the feet up.

I meant that there's no central message. The picture Blonde showed doesn't even remotely capture the scope of complaints represented by the occupy movement. Plus, now they're rioting. Fantastic.

The cops shot an ex-Marine in the head with a rubber bullet then threw a flashbang at them when they were trying to evacuate him. What did you think would happen?
For a poor Mexican I'm really surprised at how much you're parroting the 1%. |

There is, although it's not very hilarious.

I've always found the old addage, "if you don't riot you won't get shot in the head with a rubber bullet" to hold true in life.
And I agree that those videos weren't hilarious. I couldn't see him get shot. |

I wasn't there, but from all reports I don't believe they were rioting (like they are today)

If you want the government to work as designed, where they don't just ram things through without reading them and trade votes to get their personal agendas passed, then voting for non-career politicians is the way to go. Voters have the chance to do this every 2 years federally and almost every year locally.

Unfortunately this occupy movement is scattered and unfocused. I have heard some valid points from different people involved in the movement itself; mostly the labor unions.
I will say that Wall Street needs to take a step back from lobbying. That shit is getting ridiculous. |

Just opened up a CU account yesterday. Wonder if I should go ahead and close out my Chase?

As of January 2011, Chase has charged me a 11.00 service fee every single month for not depositing enough money (as I was overseas and had an account there, and it costs about 30 dollars to wire money abroad), and for not having Direct Deposit set up (impossible to do from Korea.)
Therefore, I started a Credit Union account and deposited most of money in there, leaving no real reason to keep my Chase account (and the senseless fee only employed in the wake of the financial crisis to make more money for the bank). Thoughtless? I think not, sir. But if you want, you can at least try not to ignore my rebuttal and address why you think it's a bad idea. Bitch. |

I have a Chase account and have never incurred a fee. The reason for that is the fact that I payed attention to possible fees when I opened the account. Which is what you are supposed to do.
Blonde, all you have to do is say you forgot about the direct deposit requirement. I know I'd forgive you. Perhaps others would, too. |

Oh, I have direct deposit for my PT job. It's just that because I'm unemployed FT I don't have enough to meet it. The Credit Union doesn't require a minimum deposit, as Chase does. So -- fuck Chase.

I closed my Chase savings account a couple of months ago because they were charging me a $4/month "service fee" for having the account and the only way to get out of paying this fee was if you opted in to having a minimum of $25/month transferred from your checking to your savings automatically. I told the suit in the nearby branch that this was one of the most absurd things I've ever heard of and to move all the money to my checking account and close the savings account. Alas, I didn't discontinue my business with them altogether because as Mistoffelees mentioned, their online banking is second to none.

My checking, savings, and credit card are all on one screen along with my mortgage ... I use their bill paying service and have not used a stamp for about two years ... event to mail a check. I make my girlfriend transfer her rent directly from her Chase account to my own, with no service fees. When I want my cash back rewards ... i click a button and say "put that shit in my savings account bro" and its put right in there. | |
