I got pulled over today for going 61 in a 55. The cop's reason? "Didn't you know I was a police car? If I let you pass me, everyone else would feel entitled to do the same."

The fucko was going 60 in the middle of a 3 lane highway with 10 cars bumper to bumper behind him. For those familiar, this is on 465 where, if you're going under 65, you get cursed.

No ticket, but it doesn't make him much less of a douche.

I pulled away after getting the warning and, as I sped off, there was one vehicle in my rearview mirror: A semi truck that was a decent way back. I shit you not when I say that the cop promptly pulled him over.

I'll bet you that gentleman will be sleeping well tonight. He put in a good day's work.

That is fucked up I've heard of cop cars telling people to speed up on 465 for the very reasons you've stated.

I would've passed the cop as well. MOST of the time, they won't pull you over.

My last encounter w/ getting pulled over Saturday morning went a little something like this,

"do you know how fast you were going?" No clue sir. "It's a 25 mph zone." Oh yeah. "Yeah, you were doing 47." My bad. Oh yeah I don't have my license or anything. "Why are you in such a hurry." ...I got a golf tourney to get to. "Oh ok slow it down a bit."

Many cops are too proud of being "the law" that if you pass them, they will pull you over for "disrespecting" them if you are going ANYTHING over the speed limit. I did a ride along along 96th street, where the cop was going 36 in a 40 and was telling me how disprectful it was for people to pass him (they were going 39 and 40.)

^ That was this guy to a tee. It took me 2 or 3 minutes to go from a car length behind him to a car length ahead of him. Nevertheless, he's a cop thus he's unpassable. Evidently.

$36 a year to not have to use torrents/other means for music probably means that the hours saved in learning how to use the torrents/copying from a computer makes it worthwhile.
Then there's people that enjoy being able to steal shit and don't regard downloading as a task.

Then there's the arguement that after a year you have nothing to show for it, I dunno.

Pandora is a great resource for finding out new music similar to the kind of music you like. Thats worth $36 a year to me. Well, maybe. I honestly haven't been able to use it for 6 months and don't miss it that much.

That is one of the worst-made websites i've ever seen. If it doesn't scream "made by poor minorities", i don't know what does. Free hosting, banner ads, terrible design, the CSS is all fucked up (or non existent, i didn't even check the source), and there are no facts at all. There are a couple links to some shitty advocacy groups and a link to the video, that's about it. I posted this in reply to her video, should be interesting to see a response.
