I just saw X-Men: First Class.
It was a pretty good movie, but pretty terribly off-canon for anybody who read the comics (as are most of the X-men movies). Professor X didn't injure himself that way, Magneto and X were friends for much longer than depicted before splitting ways, some of the characters were completely off the timeline they were originally created. I also didn't like how they didn't explain a lot of the powers and abilities of some of the other characters practically at all. The original X-Men were Xavier, Cyclops, Beast (unmutated and buff as fuck, had more mutations than just big feet), Angel (original feather wings, who showed up during the first x-men movie, before Apocalypse replaced them with metal wings), Iceman, and Jean Grey. Quite different from this movie. Good action flick for what it was, one of the better X-men movies. Liked the cameos in it. Just not that great for die-hards. |

Sidenote: Angel did not show up with wings in the first movie ... he showed up in the third ... completely fucking all continuity ... Ice-Man premiered as way too young in the first movie, also throwing things completely out of the window.

How'd X-Men 3 throw everything out the window? By killing professor X? Who cares, they can bring him back. He dies all the time in the comics. He dies almost as often as he regains the use of his legs and then gets paralyzed.

They killed Cyclops. They killed Professor X. They killed Jean Grey. They killed tons of other mutants needlessly. Mystique lost her powers. They didn't link Juggernaut to Prof X. (they're brothers) They made Angel a young kid instead of a timeline appropriate age.

I think I'm the only person in the world who thought x3>x2. I don't understand the obsession with keeping the movie plots identical to the comics. I thought it was very bold to kill prof x in the middle of the movie, and the speed at which the last battle turned into hell-on-earth was very cool.
x2 was okay, but I thought it was the weakest of the main trilogy. |

x3 was shit dude.
also rogue was lame as fuck compared to the hot bitch in the comics, who could fly, had superstrength and supertits.(although, of course, she got those from Ms. Marvel). they didn't even bother to give her a southern fucking accent! ![]() |

That's because they cast fucking sooki as Rouge, who as we all know, sucks as an actress. In addition to her super tits, she clearly has thick, full, curly brown hair as opposed to the stringy rat shit on top of sooki's head.

Every time I watch Shaun of the Dead I find myself entertained and liking it a little bit more. Does anybody else share this sentiment? Is it even very popular in America? What a wonderful movie.

Ok I get it that I talk about England a bit. But to be honest have I done it that much recently? I haven't lived in America for 4 years now and you would probably be surprised how much changes in America in 4 years. Because I am. I seriously feel out of touch on certain subjects. Like whether British movies are popular or not.

British cinema and television only have cult followings because British media uses ugly people that talk funny. It needs to be processed and repackaged for American consumption. E.g. The Office, and that show about cars.
