Season 3 is by far the best season thus far. Real Time was probably my favorite.

Season 3 is my favorite season of The Wire. 3,1,4,2,5 for me but almost hate to quantify them like that because they're all awesome.

House of Cards.

It stars Kevin Spacey as an ambitious Congressman who is a fucking gangster (not literally, he's just badass). He manipulates the shit out of everyone and everything. I'm loving this show so far. High recommendations all around.

The interesting bit about that series is that Netflix bought it based solely off of their user statistics predicting what people would like. Relevant bit from its Wikipedia:

I liked the scene queen regent talking to her dad, #1 - they're probably the best two acters on the show

2. princess speaks valerian and kills evrybuddy

3. chick manipulating sansa after varys hatches the scheme to thwart littlefingers with queen of highgarden

4. chick manipulating king boy scene with waving at crowd at the end

5. varys talks about his balls being cut off (ending was a little over the top. midget: the sorceror!)

6. dondarian was pretty cool with his bandanaeyepatch
