In NYC for the weekend. Had a friend put me in touch with a guy who runs a tomatoes distributing operation. So I order a delivery guy to come to hotel at 7:00. Knock on door, I open it, I swear to god some guy straight off set of Pirates of Caribbean standing there with satchel he opens to reveal a ton of tomatoes. Guy had an eye patch, a bandaged up hand/wrist (hook operation on the way?), and a puffy button-up shirt.

He had a nice selection of tomatoes. It was the most commercial tomato-buying experience of my life. Overpaid by prly 2.5-3x what I'd pay for same amount of tomatoes in Austin, but no big deal, just happy to have tomato access here and even better to get it delivered.

I bought 2 grams each of "Blueberry" and "Sour Diesel" tomatoes. Consumed some of the blueberry tomatoes so far and feeling a bit more giggly than I'd probably be from Austin tomatoes.
