About halfway through right now, and I really like it. The scenese with the Nazis are so goddamn intense and suspenseful, I don't know if its because they're goddamn nazi's or the actors, but Quentin is doing a great job of making you scared fucking shitless of the Nazi regime.

I liked the movie a ton. My favorite character was actually the Nazi from the opening scene. I thought he stole the show.

This. Excellent actor. Bc i've been watching it on megavideo (terrible decision btw, should have downloaded cam) i can only watch 72 min. per 24 hours, so I haven't gotten that far, but the part where he meets the cinema owner and orders her milk and makes sure she gets cream for the streudle was prettty good foreshadowing on her past/how much he knows,. He's a scary, manipulative motherfucker.

Just got done watching this

Was pretty predictable, but I still enjoyed it. Seemed to be accurate of travel conditions and how tonks go about their journey to the US.

I read (from a Tucker Max entry) years ago that board patrol agents called Mexicans "tonks" and this is the first time I've heard it used since.

All illegals are tonks, not just mexicans. We just happen to catch more mexicans due to location, obviously.

I considered watching this after I saw a segment about it on Daily Show or Colbert a while back, but then figured it would probably make me feel like I was going crazy. Science of Sleep was the kind of movie and it makes me uncomfortable to flirt with the brink of insanity in a movie.

Science of Sleep, while directed by the same guy as Eternal Sunshine, wasn't written by Charlie Kaufman (Adaptation, Being John Malkovich, Human Nature, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Eternal Sunshine) who both wrote and directed Synecdoche. Which is his first stab at directing.

It doesn't flirt with the brink of insanity, it fucks the brink with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire and metaphors.

Actually, as far as mind benders. This is the best time-travel movie that has been or will ever be made...and it was done for a ridiculously minimal price.

Primer

With the time I piss away on the internet these days, I'm surprised I haven't visited Nubblies for so long. It's quite weird seeing the sexbear again.

Watched this tonight. It was perhaps the most difficult movie to understand I've ever seen, but pretty cool since it was made on a budget of $7,000. I'd recommend watching it and then just reading its wikipedia page after to make some sense out of wtf you just saw.

Primer
Also watched it today. Pretty cool movie, I liked it a lot. I get the general idea, but the last half hour or so did a complete mindfuck on me. I still have no idea who the guy following them in the car was, why he was comatose, or who was "a step ahead" of whom, really...well I knew it was Aaron, but I don't know how exactly. Following UB's recommendation on reading the wiki article on it.

I don't believe this was on the wikipedia page, but someone with a lot of time on their hands was nice enough to make this...

Primer Timeline

Sad thing is, with as complicated as the story gets, so does the timeline. It pretty much visualizes the clusterfuck that's going on in your head after watching the movie.

FUCK! Why the fuck does nubblies log me out randomly? I had a huge post of movies set up, with descriptions, and upon posting, lost all of it. FUCK FUCK FUCK.

here's the much shorter, pissed off version of what I'd posted. I'm only putting links and no descriptions because the internet fucking hates me.

Good Movies that all must see:

Brick
One of my top five favorites of all time.

------

IMDb Video: Che Che: Part Two
Benicio Del Toro as Che Guevara.

-----------

Youth Without Youth
Francis Ford Coppola directed, starring Tim Roth.

--------

Blindness
Everyone goes blind, chaos ensues. All-star cast.

---------------

Choke
Based of a book by Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club)

----------

Green Street Hooligans
Soccer movie, lots of fighting. Kickass.

--------------

Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Rocky Horror Picture show meets Spinal Tap. The Tribute Album has some surprising artists doing covers. Ranging from Stephen Colbert to Rufus Wainwright to Yoko Ono (bitch).

----------

Into The Wild
Dude graduates college, donates life savings to charity, then hoofs it across the country to live in the Alaskan Wilderness. One of the most liberating movies I've ever seen. Eddie Vedder's soundtrack fits swimmingly as well.

-----------

Young People Fucking
Not porn, but still a very good (and funny) movie...about fucking.

-----------

and this just looks too awesome:
Where the Wild Things Are
It's a newer trailer that shows more of the Wild Things. I can't express how stoked about this movie I am. If I were to 'Preview Review' it, it'd get a top score.

Once again. FUCK. I forgot half of the shit that was in the first post. FUCK.

^ Commenting on the 2 I've seen:

Green Street Hooligans is badass. Absolutely badass. If you haven't seen it...go see it.

I wasn't a fan of Into The Wild, though. Not sure, something about it just didn't chub me up.

And...Nubblies logs you out randomly because you turned your back on her. Now that you're back, it'll slowly forgive you. It's just how life works.

Brick is pretty good. Felt the same as 'Gaz about Into the Wild. Basically the theme I got from it, is that as cool as it sounds/would feel to abandon all your possessions and go wandering the earth, you'll probably die a lot sooner than you'd like.
